#12: Marta Llaquet of SAYE

As CEO and Co-Founder of SAYE, Marta Llaquet is on a mission to supply the whole world with her greatest passion – sustainable sneakers. Tune in and have fun!

Since 2018, Barcelona-based sneaker brand SAYE, formerly known as Wado, has been designing eco-conscious sneakers in order to help offset the effects of deforestation. Today, the Spanish highflyers of the fashion world with CEO and Co-Founder Marta Llaquet are able to expand their sustainable mission on a global scale. For each pair of shoes that you buy, SAYE plants two trees. But not only that: All sneakers are produced regionally in Portugal and the young company ensures that all workers are paid fairly and treated ethically.

Listen to our inspiring conversation about Marta’s first steps as a social entrepreneur, crowdfunding being an important tool for realizing one’s vision of founding a company and buzzing start-up incubators in Barcelona. Tune in and have fun!
